Save Bird

Aspire International School conducted “Bird Feeder” activity on 11th April 2023. Teaching kids about birds and nature is important for many reasons. It helps them develop compassion and empathy, relieves stress and builds emotional resilience, and teaches them to be responsible stewards of the natural world around them. The students of Grade 1, 2 and 3 were engaged in a project-based – hands-on activity named Bird Feeder that encouraged them to engage with nature and simultaneously enhances their learning abilities. Kids enjoyed bird feeding as a soothing source of natural beauty and entertainment just outside their windows. In a world overwhelmed with technology, bird feeding provides a nice escape to unwind from daily stresses. The students fed different types of millets like wheat, bhajra etc to birds and in a separate bowl, they kept water also for the birds to drink. The Bird feeder activity was conducted as a part of an activity that is an initiative taken by our school to educate and sensitize our young students to understand the concept of saving our Earth from various environmental issues. The activity gave our students an opportunity to observe the wonders of nature, take a little break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Young ones with access to feeders also learnt to identify bird species, foods that are appropriate for the birds, and the importance of caring for animals. The Programme In-charge was Ms. Sheetal Chandak and the Programme was well co-ordinated by Ms. Ramkumari Karnahke. The School Management and the Principal appreciated the efforts taken by the teachers, which enabled the students to understand the importance of saving our nature.
